CHERRY & Rapid Electronics Relationship Success

Growing success in 2014 between Rapid Electronics and CHERRY Following the acquisition of the UK-based Rapid Electronics by German-owned Conrad Electronic in July 2013, CHERRY began working together with the electronic component distributor in the UK market. “Rapid Electronics is very ambitious and looking to expand their presence and gain market share in the UK component distribution market,” comments Mark Mills, European Distribution Manager at CHERRY. “We have been working successfully with Conrad Electronic on a European basis since 2011 and we are very happy to now be part of Rapid Electronics’ push in the UK market with our range of switch and sensor products,” he continues. Colchester based Rapid Electronics is a UK distributor of electronic components, cables and connectors, electrical products, tools and educational resources with around 150 employees, offering in excess of 110,000 different parts. “We have seen CHERRY’s business with Conrad Electronic increase year-on-year and have been pleased how things have progressed in the UK during 2014. We are looking to expand our offer and local stocking for 2015 in order to support the growing demand.” says Janice Ratcliffe, Product Manager Emech at Rapid Electronics. “We are looking forward to further growth in 2015 and to developing our business relationship with CHERRY in the years to come,” she concludes.
