ZF ELECTRONICS UK WINS MARS GOLD AWARD

Five Star ZF Electronics UK wins Mars Gold Award for sixth consecutive year

Auerbach, Germany, 24. May 2013 – ZF Electronics UK Limited has won Mars Drinks’ coveted Gold Standard Award for Quality Performance for an incredible sixth consecutive year. Initiated several years ago and open to assured suppliers, the Mars Gold Standard Award for Quality Performance recognises robust quality management systems, consistent quality conformance and superior delivery performance – all essential supplier attributes for Mars Drinks, whose vending machines prepare more than a billion beverages every year in businesses worldwide.

Mars Drinks presents the award to the supplier who achieves specific criteria in terms of product quality and service delivery and who ensure that their quality management systems and facilities meet the grade in their audit.

ZF Electronics supplies a range of CHERRY D4 and DB series micro switches to Mars for use in its flagship KLIX® Outlook™ and KLIX® 450 mid-range vending machines. KLIX manufactures fully automatic in-cup vending solutions, providing high quality, low maintenance machines, first-class customer service, and a comprehensive product range. Nine CHERRY switches are used in each model to control the position of the cups, door closure, water level and the position of various internal mechanisms, all of which help ensure the beverage is dispensed correctly.

Ken Dack, SQA Engineer at Mars Drinks commented: “It is a genuine pleasure to present ZF Electronics with the Gold Standard Award for Quality Performance 2012 for the sixth consecutive year. This Award recognizes the contribution that ZF Electronics makes to Mars Drinks as an assured supplier, helping to build quality excellence into the Mars brands though first-class products and service. A huge “thank you” to everyone at ZF Electronics for their unstinting and continuing efforts in ensuring product quality and reliability and consistent on-time delivery. We look forward to continuing to work with you in 2013. ”
