SALES & MARKETING WORKFORCE EXPANDED

ZF Electronics UK expands Sales & Marketing workforce following solid growth

ZF Electronics UK Ltd. has recently added three additional Sales & Marketing staff in their UK headquarters in Luton, Befordshire. Following solid double digit sales growth in each of the last five years, the new employees are part of ZF’s plan to grow CHERRY sales on behalf of Industrial Solutions in the UK. “Our new staff will help us cover our External Sales, Marketing, Website and PR, as well as our Sales in France,” comments Michael Groom, Managing Director of ZF Electronics UK. “This investment may not even have been the last for this year as our business continues to outperform the targets and further expansion within Europe is planned,” he continues.

Clare D’Arcy is now responsible for IS Marketing and will focus on further developing the successful website switches-sensors.zf.com/asia-en/, especially in view of the imminent release of the company’s new Energy Harvesting technology. “The move earlier this year into the electronic components industry has provided me with an opportunity to build new relationships and utilize my creativity in a new way,” explains D’Arcy. “With a view to setting a standard for the industry with our online content I am excited about the opportunities this will give our customers and end users,” she adds. Clare D’Arcy has 15 years experience working in the events and music industry before joining ZF Electronics UK in February this year. The first 10 years were as a self-employed Production Coordinator working on large scale sporting and music events which led to a natural move into Marketing & Communications.

Luke Pearson joined ZF Electronics UK in January 2014 in a joint role of Business Development Manager and also UK Product Manager for the companies’ new Energy Harvesting products, which will be launched later this year (Energy Harvesting/). “This role is a little different to the previous positions I have held and makes it an exciting opportunity for me to develop both myself and the business,” comments Pearson. “I will ultimately be responsible for UK sales as our current UK Sales Manager will retire in a few years,” he continues. Luke Pearson began his career in 2003 working for an independent distributor of electronics before making the move in 2008 into franchised distribution as a Field Sales Engineer for one of the worlds largest online and catalogue retailers of electronic components.

Sarah Cox has recently returned to ZF Electronics UK to concentrate on promoting Cherry Industrial Solutions’ range of micro switches, sensors and RF products as Area Sales Manager for France. “I quite simply missed the buzz of the electronic components industry and this is the ideal opportunity for me, as I already know Cherry’s products and people plus the ZF group is renowned worldwide,” she says. Sarah Cox began her career in the electronic components industry in the 1980s, working for one of the main broad line distributors at the time. After several years as a Field Sales Representative, she then took on a new challenge in Sales Management, eventually joining Cherry UK in 1998. As moving to France had been a long term goal for her, she didn’t hesitate when there was a possibility to work for Cherry Sarl (near Paris). She eventually left the company and city life opting instead for the countryside of rural Normandy, but now she is back with ZF Electronics UK and looking forward to a new challenge.
