MAGNETIC SENSORS FROM CHERRY

Auerbach, 19th September 2012 – In addition to customer-specific designs, Cherry offers a range of standard sensors that are available from stock even in small quantities. The range of standard sensors available from stock includes highly-reliable MP1013 and MP1014 series hall-effect position sensors. Thanks to their very compact design and the easy mounting via mounting flange (MP1014) or snap-fits (MP1013), the sensors can be used in many different applications.

The MP1013 magnetic hall-effect position sensor features an operating voltage range of 3.8 up to 24 VDC and can be used for position sensing, speed sensing and flow sensing. The MP1014 digital hall-effect position sensor offers an operating voltage range of 4.5 up to 18 VDC and is ideal for applications like door-position sensing, flow sensing and pedal switch. Both sensor series are fully RoHS compliant and are also available as latching versions upon request.

Other standard sensors available from stock in small quantities are AN8 and AN9 series programmable, non-contact magnetic position sensors. Both sensors offer 0 up to 360 degree position sensing, a high tolerance for misalignment, are available in redundant and non-redundant versions and with connector or cable outlet. Because the sensor and the magnet are separated there is no mechanical wear. AN8 series devices feature a 5 VDC radiometric output range. Both sensors meet IP67/IP68 specifications and offer EMI/ESD protection. With a maximum operating temperature of +125°C (AN9) and +150°C (AN8), the sensors are ideally suited for applications like throttle position, pedal position, gear selection, shaft position detection and steer wheel position.
