ZF Friedrichshafen AG is rebranding the switches and sensors in the Industrial Solutions (IS) product line. The products will no longer be marketed under the CHERRY brand but under the ZF brand. The CHERRY brand with its strong presence in the end-customer market will then only be used for computer input devices.
By having a complete presence as ZF – a already strong brand in the automotive industry and industrial technology – the company intensifies its efforts to open up new market segments in the industry and building automation markets. With a full and comprehensive line of switches, sensors and self-powered wireless switches these future markets offer excellent opportunities for growth.
2016 will be a transition year in which the change to ZF will be announced to all previous CHERRY customers and in all relevant industries. From 2017 onwards, the presence of the switches and sensors product line (IS) will be entirely in ZF design.
Apart from the company name and labelling nothing will change. All company data, contacts and product names remain unchanged.
