IFA Berlin – KNX-RF Energy Harvesting in the "House of Smart Living“

Auerbach. For the first time this year, the energy harvesting KNX-RF pushbutton module from ZF Friedrichshafen AG is part of the „House of Smart Living“ at IFA, Berlin. This special exhibition segment devoted to the Smart Home is an accessible model house which presents innovative building automation solutions. The focus of this dedicated exhibition area is a range of groundbreaking technology such as intelligent security systems, comfortable living, smart control and innovative lighting options.

The ZF pushbutton module can be used as a light switch, with or without dimming function, and as a shutter switch. The wireless and battery-free features mean it is versatile and easy to integrate, allowing significant flexibility during the planning stages.

Already in full production, the wireless light switch module comes ready to install and is configurable via ETS (from ETS5). It is compatible with standard frames and panels for energy harvesting light switch modules and can be combined with customer-specific designs and control panels.

The actuation of the unit produces enough electrical energy to transmit a complete KNX-RF protocol in S-mode directly to any KNX-receiver.

Visit the „House of Smart Living“ at IFA in Berlin from 6th to 11th September 2019 and find out more about the energy harvesting KNX-RF pushbutton module from ZF: Hall 26, Stand 205
