D4 Snap Action Microswitch Features New Material
New black plastic material features future-proof halogen-free flame retardants
At Electronica 2014 in Hall B5 on Stand 155 CHERRY Industrial Solutions presents its proven D4 series of snap-action switches with new halogen-free flame retardants, which now meet the harmonised UL/EN 61058 standards. The new T85 version of the D4 series snap-action switches with black plastic material give an improved environmental performance, and are future-proof to growing customer requirements and compliance.
The D4 series snap-action switches from CHERRY benefit from an increased tracking resistance of PTI 300, a high functional reliability, and excellent switching precision. Using application-specific contact materials for switching currents from 0.1A up to 21A at 250VAC, the switches offer superior contact reliability. Due to several available actuators and mounting points, the devices will prove suitable for many different applications.
The switches conform with IEC 60335-1 requirements: GWFI at 850°C, GWIT at 775°C and GWT 750°C. They have been designed to operate over an ambient temperature range from -40 up to +150°C.
