New in the range of Hera are battery free and wireless door contact switches and a wall switch with ZigBee protocol which can be used completely flexible for a wireless control of lighting. With the wall switch Dynamic ZigBee it is not only possible to switch or dim the light, also a variable setting of the light colour is possible. In combination with the Hera ZigBee controller as well as Amazon Alexa, the wall switch can be used without almost any limitations.
Based on the energy harvesting technology by ZF, the required energy for these Hera solutions is generated. By the mechanical actuation of the switch, the energy harvesting generator produces sufficient energy to transmit a RF protocol. As a result, no regular change of batteries is necessary and the switches can also be installed as retrofit solutions.
The most important element of the ZF energy harvesting technology is a very compact generator (20.1 x 7.3 x 14.3 mm). Due to its size, the energy harvester is suitable for a variety of applications and therefore individual customer requirements can be fulfilled. Besides the ZigBee protocol, which is used for the Hera RF solutions, also protocols like KNX-RF, EnOcean, Bluetooth or customer specific solutions can be realised.
